Étapes
Finely dice 1 red onion and 2 tomatoes, then mix them in a bowl with 15 ml lemon juice, 5 ml salt, and 2 ml black pepper.
Finely chop 30 ml cilantro and stir it into the tomato and onion mixture to complete the kachumbari.
Shape 400 g ground beef into two thick patties, making them slightly wider than your burger buns.
Season both sides of the meat patties generously with 5 ml salt, 5 ml black pepper, and 5 ml garlic powder.
Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to a high temperature and lightly coat the surface with 15 ml vegetable oil.
Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until they are charred and cooked to your liking.
Slice 2 brioche buns in half and place them cut-side down on the grill for 1 minute until lightly toasted.
