Fancy Ravioli

Traditional and juicy Kari Aihinen style meatballs made with ground beef, cream, and breadcrumbs. Sautéing the onion and adding sour cream makes these meatballs especially tasty and succulent.

Ingredients

1 pcsonion
30 mlbutter for frying
100 mlcooking cream
100 mlbreadcrumbs
1 pcsegg
30 mlfresh parsley
400 gground beef (17%)
30 mlsour cream
6 gsalt
3 pcsTabasco
2.5 mlblack pepper

Instructions

Sauté the onion

Finely chop 1 piece onion and sauté in a pan until soft using a portion of the 15 ml butter for frying.

Soak the breadcrumbs

Mix 100 ml cooking cream and 100 ml breadcrumbs in a bowl and let the mixture swell for a few minutes.

Prepare herbs

Finely chop 30 ml fresh parsley and add it to the breadcrumb mixture.

Mix the meatball mass

Add to the bowl 1 piece egg, 400 g ground beef (17%), the sautéed onion, 6 g salt, 3 piece Tabasco and 2.5 ml black pepper.

Add moisture

Mix in 30 ml sour cream to give the mixture juiciness and the right texture.

Shape the meatballs

Shape the mixture into uniform balls using damp hands, being careful not to compress the mass too tightly.

Fry the meatballs

Heat the remaining 15 ml butter for frying in a pan and fry the meatballs over medium heat, turning, until they are beautifully golden brown and cooked through.
