
Macaroni casserole
Fancy Ravioli
A quick and delicious version of the classic Finnish macaroni casserole, perfect for both everyday meals and weekend dinners.
Ingredients
| 400 g | macaroni |
| 400 g | ground meat |
| 1 pcs | onion |
| 15 ml | rapeseed oil |
| 2 pcs | egg |
| 300 ml | milk |
| 10 ml | salt |
| 2.5 ml | black pepper |
| 5 ml | paprika powder |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Boil 400 g macaroni in salted water until nearly cooked according to the package instructions. Drain thoroughly.
Peel and chop 1 pcs onion. Heat 15 ml rapeseed oil in a pan and sauté the onion for a few minutes. Add 400 g ground meat and brown it. Season with 5 ml salt, 2.5 ml black pepper and 5 ml paprika powder.
Whisk 2 pcs egg in a bowl. Add 300 ml milk and mix well.
Spread the drained macaroni into a greased baking dish. Add the browned meat and onion mixture on top and mix gently. Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over everything.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes, or until the surface is golden brown and the mixture has set.
Let the casserole rest for a moment before serving. Serve as is or with a salad.
