Banana Bread
A moist and soft pastry with a rich fruit aroma. This bread is best as a snack or breakfast slice, especially toasted and served with butter.
Ingredients
Steps
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and grease a 23 x 13 cm loaf pan with a small amount of butter or oil.
Peel the 4 bananas and mash them in a large bowl with a fork until they form a smooth puree.
Stir the melted 100 g butter into the mashed bananas.
Mix in 170 g sugar, 1 egg, and 7.5 ml vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
Sprinkle 9 g baking soda and 2.5 ml salt over the mixture and mix them in thoroughly.
Gently fold in 260 g all-purpose flour until the batter is just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan so that it fills about two-thirds of the height, allowing room for it to rise about one-third in the oven. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the pan from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
