Cook 400 g spaghetti in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve a deciliter of the cooking water and drain the pasta.
Peel and thinly slice or finely chop [6 garlic cloves].
Heat 100 ml olive oil in a pan over low heat. Add the sliced garlic and 5 ml red chili flakes. Sauté gently until the garlic is soft and fragrant, but not browned.
Add the drained pasta and a splash of the reserved cooking water to the pan. Toss in 20 g chopped fresh parsley and 10 ml salt. Mix briefly until the pasta is evenly coated with the oil.
