
Cheeseburger
This burger is made by smashing a ground meat ball flat on a hot pan to create a crispy and flavorful sear. Melted cheese between the layers and a soft bun make the whole experience rich and satisfying.

Shape the 160 g ground beef into two round balls, weighing about 80 g each.
Cut the 1 hamburger bun in half.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and toast the hamburger bun cut-sides down until golden brown.
Heat a cast iron pan or a heavy steel pan until very hot and add 5 ml oil.
Place the meat balls in the pan and press them completely flat into patties with a sturdy spatula.
Sprinkle 2 ml salt and 1 ml black pepper onto the surface of the patties.
Flip the patties when their edges are crispy, and place 1 slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
Spread 20 ml hamburger sauce on the buns and stack the cooked patties with cheese inside the bun.
