Cheeseburger
A classic cheeseburger is made with a thin beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, onion, and pickles inside a soft bun.
Ingredients
Steps
Place 10 g dried onion flakes in a small bowl and pour 50 ml water over it. Let the onion soften for about 10 minutes and drain off the excess water.
Divide 400 g ground beef into four parts and roll them into balls. Press the balls into very thin patties, slightly larger than the buns, and season the surfaces with a mixture of 3 g salt and 1 g black pepper.
Split the 4 soft hamburger buns and toast the cut surfaces on a dry, hot pan until they have gained a bit of color.
Heat 15 ml cooking oil in a frying pan. Fry the patties on a hot pan for about 1-2 minutes per side, pressing them with a spatula during cooking to keep them thin.
Place 4 processed cheddar cheese slices on top of the patties immediately after flipping and let the cheese melt slightly in the pan.
Spread 30 ml ketchup and 15 ml mild mustard on the top bun halves. Evenly add the rehydrated onion flakes and 8 pickled cucumber on top.
Lift the hot cheese patties onto the bottom bun halves and press the conditioned top halves on. Let the burgers rest for a moment in a wrapper or under a cover before serving so that the bun softens.
