Minced meat and potato casserole

Fancy Ravioli

An easy and delicious minced meat and potato casserole, prepared effortlessly in the oven. Cream and milk add creaminess and richness, and melted mozzarella on top perfectly completes this dish.

Ingredients

400 gminced meat
800 gpotatoes
1 pcsonion
200 mlcream
100 mlmilk
5 mlsalt
2.5 mlblack pepper
15 mloil or butter
1 pcseggs
100 ggrated mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Prepare the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Prepare the potatoes

Peel and slice 800 g potatoes into thin slices.

Prepare the onion

Peel and chop 1 pcs onion into chunks or thick rings.

Sauté the minced meat and onion

Heat 15 ml oil or butter in a pan. Fry 400 g minced meat until browned. Add the chopped onion and continue frying until softened. Season with 5 ml salt and 2.5 ml black pepper.

Assemble the casserole

Grease a casserole dish. Spread half of the potato slices in the bottom. Add the sautéed minced meat and onion mixture evenly. Cover with the remaining potato slices.

Prepare the liquid and pour

Whisk together 200 ml cream, 100 ml milk and 1 pcs egg in a bowl. Pour the mixture evenly over the potatoes in the dish.

Bake the casserole

Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle with 100 g mozzarella. Bake for another 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Rest and serve

Let the dish rest for a moment before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
