
Brite Cake
Fancy Ravioli
A classic summer Brite cake, filled and decorated with fresh berries. Ideal for the coffee table.
Ingredients
| 150 g | butter |
| 150 ml | sugar |
| 4 pcs | egg yolk |
| 200 ml | wheat flour |
| 10 ml | baking powder |
| 150 ml | milk |
| 4 pcs | egg white |
| 200 ml | sugar |
| 400 ml | heavy cream |
| 30 ml | sugar |
| 1000 ml | strawberries |
Instructions
Cream 150 g butter and 150 ml sugar. Add 4 pcs egg yolk one by one into the butter-sugar mixture, whisking thoroughly. Mix 200 ml wheat flour and 10 ml baking powder. Add the flour mixture and 150 ml milk alternately to the batter.
Spread the batter in a thin layer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Whisk 4 pcs egg white into a stiff foam. Gradually add 200 ml sugar while whisking until the mixture is firm and glossy.
Spread the meringue mixture over the base batter.
Bake at 175 degrees in the center of the oven for about 20 minutes.
Let the cake sheet cool and cut it in half.
Cut 1000 ml strawberries in half. Whip 400 ml heavy cream and flavor with 30 ml sugar.
Place one cake layer on a suitable platter. Spread half of the whipped cream and half of the strawberries on top. Place the second cake layer on top.
Spread the remaining whipped cream on top. Decorate with strawberries.
