World's Best Pancake

This classic Finnish oven pancake is easy to prepare and a favorite for the whole family. It is perfect as a dessert or a sweet snack; serve it, for example, with berries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

100 gmargarine
260 gwheat flour
135 gsugar
5 gbaking powder
6 gsalt
4 gvanilla sugar
800 mlmilk
2eggs

Steps

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius (or 200 degrees for fan ovens).

Melt the margarine

Melt the 100 g margarine and let it cool slightly.

Combine dry ingredients

Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl: 260 g wheat flour, 135 g sugar, 5 g baking powder, 6 g salt, and 4 g vanilla sugar.

Add liquids and margarine

Add 800 ml milk, 2 eggs, and the melted, cooled margarine to the dry ingredients.

Mix the batter

Mix until the batter is smooth. Do not overmix; a few small lumps are fine.

Pour the batter onto the baking sheet

Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the pancake

Bake at 225 degrees Celsius (or 200 degrees for fan ovens) for 30 minutes, or until the pancake is beautifully golden brown and cooked through.

You use the service in accordance with law and good practice. You are responsible for content you create. We may remove content or close accounts if terms are violated or for other reasons.

6. Rights and data

The service software and brand belong to us. Content you save remains in the service, and we may store, process and delete it for the service’s needs. You have the right to use the service – service data and control stay with us.

7. Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with data protection law and our privacy notice. Email is used for login and communication. We do not sell your personal data. We are responsible for how data is processed.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that it is error-free. No liability for indirect damages within the limits of the law. We may change, limit or discontinue the service when needed.
