Stir-fried Romaine Lettuce with Garlic

This is a crisp and refreshing quick home-style dish. Emerald green romaine lettuce is garnished with bright red goji berries, featuring a rich garlic aroma and a light, slightly sweet flavor. It looks especially exquisite when served on a white plate.

材料

5 グラムGoji berries
400 グラムRomaine lettuce (Youmaicai)
3Garlic cloves
10 グラムCornstarch
30 mlWater
30 mlVegetable oil
15 mlLight soy sauce
5 グラムSugar
2 mlSalt

手順

Prepare goji berries

Place 5 グラム Goji berries in a small bowl, add an appropriate amount of water, and soak until softened for later use.

Process the vegetables

Wash the 400 グラム Romaine lettuce (Youmaicai) and cut into sections about 5 cm long.

Prepare garlic

Peel the 3 Garlic cloves and mince them into fine pieces.

Prepare the starch slurry

In a small bowl, mix 10 グラム Cornstarch and 30 ml Water to make a starch slurry.

Sauté the garlic

Pour 30 ml Vegetable oil into a wok, heat over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Stir-fry the lettuce

Add the cut lettuce, turn to high heat, and stir-fry quickly until the leaves soften slightly.

Seasoning

Add 15 ml Light soy sauce, 5 グラム Sugar, and 2 ml Salt, then stir-fry evenly to let the vegetables absorb the flavors.

Thicken

Add the softened goji berries, pour in the prepared starch slurry, and stir-fry quickly until the sauce becomes clear and thick.
